BERNARD PLOSSU // WESTERN COLORS- JUNE 23, 2016

Bernard Plossu is a great French photographer who takes us on a journey through the poetry of his images. Master of the moment and of words, Plossu describes his work as "cinema photographs" with a before and after, but it is the emotion of the present that he has tried to capture in a fraction of a second.

Drawing much of his inspiration from the Western films he watched as a youth with his father, "Western Colors" reveals the photographer's admirable color shots of desert roads and other characters unique to the American Southwest. Described as a "migratory traveler", he has adorned every corner of the planet with a veil of tenderness and beauty, sublimated for most of his series by the black and white of his camera.
