EXHIBITION OF THE SERIES "CORPS À CORPS" - VICTOIRE ORTH - FROM 7 OCTOBER TO 8 NOVEMBER 2021
Victoire Orth is a young French photographer from Lyon living in Paris. Passionate about photography for several years, it was during a trip to Brussels that she met Gil Rigoulet and became his assistant. A collaboration that turned into a beautiful story of friendship and that today leads Gil to sponsor his assistant in order to make her work better known.
Interested in the relationship to the body and to the female gender, Victoire Orth develops these questions of identity by photographing herself in her Parisian studio with a mirror and a film camera. Other characters enter, at times, into this intimate bubble even if Victoire keeps the self-portrait at the heart of her photography. It is through this journey with herself and with others that the series is born Body to Body.
| "Met by chance in life, a glance, words, in a draught of the great square of Brussels, Victoire, as long as an oyat, the film camera on her hip, the fresh eye of these 18 years old, does not care about the meanders of a questioning. She poses to herself, looks into her sensitivity and explores this natural light that brushes against the skin like an intensity of having to live, her world is her proximity, her look is her awareness of building between graphics and emotion.
