Armed with Indian ink markers and school notebooks, Jochen Gerner conducts a new graphic experiment in Chiens . Through countless variations in size, outline, texture and coat, the artist draws up a varied inventory of dog breeds - real, semi-real or chimerical: Bichon Frise, Picardy Blue Spaniel, Scottish Terrier with a coat of conifer thorns...

With this new bestiary, which is as much realistic illustration as forward-looking drawing, Jochen Gerner invites us to take a whimsical look at the world, proving once again the singularity of his observation.
