In 1984, GIL RIGOULET became the first official photographer of the newspaper Le Monde, with which he collaborated for more than 20 years. He produced a supplement with Henri Cartier-Bresson, Portrait of a Daily.

In 1986, Robert Doisneau presented Gil's photos in a portfolio for the magazine Photo-Magazine and Christian Caujolle showed these photos for the exhibition "Vivre en maillot de bain" at the Deligny swimming pool, with Joseph Koudelka, Marc Riboud, William Klein, Helmut Newton, Jean Loup Sieff, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Mary Ellen Marck...

He collaborates with many magazines of the national and international press, such as Géo, Grands Reportages, Elle, Sunday Times, La Républica, La Stampa, El Pais etc...

The SNCF exhibits it on the railings of the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris with "Les Français vus du train" in 2011.
Le M du Monde published these photos in the article "Bain de jouvence pour Molitor", and Agnès b showed them at Paris Photo at the Grand Palais in November 2014, then at Artcurial during the summer of 2015.
I Vogue USA publishes a portfolio of her images of Molitor...

The book Rockabilly 82 was released in June 2016 by Editions André Frère; magazines le Nouvel Obs, Vice, Grazzia, Libération, les Inroks, Brain mag, Hey mag, L'oeil de la photo, Vise USA, The Guardian and Spaces In Between published a portfolio.

Polka magazine publishes in summer 2018, 6 pages of its series the body and water in the swimming pools of France.

Polaroid magazine presents its series on Molitor, made in SX70 color, in summer 2018 .

The international street photographty site Burn My Eye, publishes a great interview with him in October 2018.

Gil Rigoulet

In 1984, Gil Rigoulet became the first regular photographer for the newspaper Le Monde, with which he collaborated for more than 20 years. In 1986, Robert Doisneau presented his images in Photo Magazine and Christian Caujolle exhibited him at the Deligny swimming pool for "Vivre en maillot de bain", alongside Joseph Koudelka, Marc Riboud, William Klein, Helmut Newton and Jacques-Henri Lartigue.

He regularly collaborates with many national and international magazines and his work has been exhibited, among others, at the Rencontres d'Arles, at the Musée du Montparnasse, at Paris Photo by Agnès b...

Gil is known for his Street Photo of the 70's and 80's, his series "Corps & Eau" - from which "Molitor 85" and "Rockabilly 82" are extracted - in b&w film. After an intimate work entitled "My Days, My Nights" and "Sacred Landscapes" made with Polaroid 665, he dives back into the world of the 80's with "Pola Pool" and becomes the French ambassador of Polaroid Originals.

He exhibited at Artazart in late 2019.
