Her name was Mahsa Amini, a young Kurdish woman killed by the Iranian vice police on September 16, 2022.
More than 50 graphic artists and press cartoonists are committed to supporting the fight for women’s rights and freedom in Iran, with posters and graphic creations inspired by the posters of the Russian and Cuban revolutions, May 68 and the strong, effective graphic codes specific to Persia.
4 institutions have joined forces – the Beaux-Arts de Paris, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, the Palais de Tokyo and the Palais de la Porte Dorée – to publish a reference work on these struggles. A tribute to struggle and dignity, this book is part of the fundamental struggle for the rights of women and men. Richly illustrated, this beautiful book brings together over 250 posters and photographic documents. The texts are published in three languages: French, English and Farsi.
