“An imagier with the look of a beautiful book to discover the world through the colorful round of fruits, flowers, vegetables and animals that populate it…More than 50 fruits, flowers, vegetables and animals to discover in this very large-format imagier to put in every hand”.

In my childhood home grew cabbages, green beans, carrots, potatoes, and a few fruit trees. At the end of the garden was a rabbit hutch, which I approached with fear, surprised by their sudden gallops. Martin Jarrie began with a landscape, that of the Sèvre valley, through which flows the Sèvre Nantaise, a major tributary of the Loire. From the back of his parents’ garden, he could not only see the Saint Martin farm, but also make out La Jarrie on the other bank, where he spent his early years. His attachment to his childhood home was so strong that Martin Jarrie chose the names of these places as his pseudonyms.

A small patch of garden, next to the rabbit hutch, turns into a cornucopia in “ L’Imagier du vivant ” to spread fruit, vegetables and animals before our dazzled eyes as weary city dwellers. A whole universe dreamed up in just a few square meters…
