L’ÂME DES GRAPPES BLEUES - Clara Debray

On the occasion of her “Aubes” exhibition at Artazart, Clara Debray will be signing L’âme des grappes bleues on Thursday, January 12 from 6pm!

This graphic novel is the story of an encounter with winemaker Muriel Zoldan, who created the Antocyâme estate near Montauban.
Her personality is vast and teeming: at once intuitive, full of poetry, but also grounded and demanding. Muriel has a wealth of professional experience, from oenology to Chinese medicine, and an intimate life lived in different landscapes of France.
Muriel takes us on a sensitive journey through her approach to wine. She tends her vines with respect for the living, without chemicals or mechanical violence, and with a great deal of listening and care. She naturally extends this philosophy to the cellar, making living wines without adding or removing anything from the grape juice that becomes wine, right through to bottling.
It’s a quest for purity and beauty, a search for the expression of terroir, in unison with its personality.

Told through the poetic pen of Pauline Dupin-Aymard and the vivid pastels of Clara Debray, L’Âme des grappes bleues exhilarates us to the rhythm of two artistic styles that complement and respond to each other.
