"I wish with all my heart that the craft and the involvement of the senses through the smell of books, ink and paper will endure over time despite the digital explosion. Because I think it is essential to our well-being."

Lucile Chanteloup

Lucile is a 26-year-old French illustrator from the Guérande peninsula. Fascinated by the power of images since her childhood, she started her artistic career in Berlin in 2019. She now works from her studio in Paris and sometimes slips away to visit the Atlantic Ocean.

Through bright and soft colours and rounded shapes, Lucile wishes to convey a message of optimism, to make people smile, to brighten up a day and to draw attention to the importance of others and of nature.

Her creative techniques range from digital design to acrylic painting and ink drawing. As far as printing is concerned, she prefers to use traditional and ecological techniques (risography, silk-screen printing, linocut).
