Stéphane Mahé's third book published by Éditions de Juillet, Mood is a witness of furtive opportunities that gives them an air of eternity. With a play of chiaroscuro, Stéphane Mahé's images are imbued with a fantastic dimension, letting the power of our imagination reveal their essence. With a particular attention given to the light and the least possible adjustments to preserve the grain, he captures more an atmosphere than a precise place.

These photographs are a universal experience, in which emotion is a common language, a kind of Esperanto composed of timeless, mysterious and dreamlike scenes, independent of each other while belonging to a coherent whole that soothes and poetizes our souls; a parenthesis that opens and closes, offering renewed sensations with each new reading.
