Photographer Harry Gruyaert is undoubtedly one of the greatest contemporary color photographers. A member of the Magnum agency since 1981, he loves above all to capture the subtlety of light and the power of color. His long-awaited book “Rivages” – the first two editions (in 2003 and 2008) having long since sold out – is now considered a cult book in the history of photography.

Reissued by Textuel, this expanded version of fifty previously unpublished “Rivages” presents the subtle chromatic variations from the beaches of Normandy to those of India, Morocco or Egypt, East and West, photographed over the past 40 years…
