SNJOR - Christophe Jacrot

Photographer Christophe Jacrot has been roaming the world for almost ten years. Known for immortalizing major metropolises in inclement weather, his quest for winter naturally led him to Iceland. Reconnecting with the great outdoors, he also found in Iceland what he had been struggling to find in Europe for some years: a “real winter”. He describes the territory as “a white ocean, so apparently deserted but so ‘inhabited’… A world as if frozen in snow, peaceful and impassive”.

It was on this island that he took all the photographs for this book.
