THE CIRCUIT - Bruce Gilden

Born in 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, Bruce Gilden is best known for his street photography. He has published over twenty books and has been a member of the prestigious MAGNUM agency since 1998. He is also the recipient of numerous awards and prizes including the Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship in 2013.

The Circuit begins with the death of George Floyd in 2020, murdered by police in Minneapolis. Riots are raging throughout the United States. Bruce Gilden attends a prayer for George Floyd, which takes place in the middle of a crowd of noisy and spectacular bikers. After this event, Bruce Gilden has only one idea in mind: "Find the Bikers ...".

Thus began a relationship that continues to this day. Determined to explore the "biker life", Bruce Gilden embarks on a social tour of the MC Circuit. He relentlessly photographs in, out and beyond New York City.
