Laurent Moreau

Born in 1982, Laurent Moreau is a graduate of the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. He is a regular contributor to the French and international press(Revue XXI, New York Times) and also designs show posters. When he creates, Laurent Moreau seeks spontaneity and enjoys a physical relationship with paper, which is why he usually paints with gouache.

Louise, aka Lavilleeetlesnuages, describes herself as an “optimistic illustrator”. After 5 years of study at Penninghen and a diploma in her pocket, she embarked on the adventure of illustration to share her vision of the world, which she wants to be colorful and positive. A recent winner of the Prix Jeunes Talents des Agents Associés, Louise’s creations send out a strong message. An illustrator as well as an author, Lavilletlesnuages likes to work with all image and communication media, as well as all materials, since she has trained in embroidery and ceramics. In her “City maps”, she embellishes the city map with emblematic monuments, cyclists, sightseeing points and little dogs, inviting you to travel from the comfort of your sofa.

Léa Maupetit

A 2015 graduate of the Typographic Design master’s program at ECV, Léa Maupetit is a young illustrator who lives and works in Paris. Using gouache and acrylic, she creates a colorful, joyful and humorous universe where dogs, doves and elephants with glasses smile at life. Café terraces and markets resound with the echoes of precious moments, and the sun shines on nature and its fruits… Léa exhibited at Artazart, “un printemps coloré” in 2018.

Created in 2016 by Diane Marissal and Jérémie Leblanc, Les Canailles is a duo where the literary and artistic influences of one blend with the visual and graphic culture of the other. Whether illustrating, silkscreening or editing, collage is at the heart of their four-handed practice. “Our plastic universe, at the crossroads of these fields, blends popular culture, graphic design and abstraction to explore the narrative and poetic nature of images. Faced with an ambient pessimism, we want to reinstate a relationship of curiosity, fiction and dialogue with everyone, young and old.

Lil Sire

After studying at Auguste Renoir and Olivier de Serre, training as a jeweller and a spell in Haute Couture, Lil Sire turned to illustration. Working mainly in gouache, she draws her inspiration from a variety of artistic currents, such as art nouveau and Japanese prints. Her dreamlike, colourful world takes viewers into a poetic imagination, populated by animals of all kinds, where nature reigns supreme.

Lili Scratchy

Lili Scratchy (pseudonym Frédérique Bellier) is a writer and illustrator of children’s books from Orléans. A graduate of the École de communication visuelle (ECV), she has gone on to work in a wide variety of professional fields: textile graphics, illustration for publishing, the press, stationery, board games and ceramics. Lili Scratchy’s main sources of inspiration are art brut, Japanese design and manga. She evolves in a naïve, cartoonish world seen through the prism of adult reflections. Her pop universe, ultra-colourful, optimistic and teeming with detail, doesn’t stop at paper. She applies this touch of explosive fantasy to a wide range of everyday objects and fabrics, as well as to her ceramic work, which plays an important role in her work.

Lola Penicaud

A 2016 graduate of the Émile Cohl school, Lola Penicaud is an artist from Lyon who divides her time between illustration and animated film. She has also set up an association in the Jura region of France, where she runs cultural and artistic initiatives for disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Her drawings, with their fine lines and soft colours, are inhabited by characters who are always on the move. Somewhere between poetry and absurdity, her world is fuelled by stories about society and the people she meets.

Lucie Delasrocas

Trained as an architect, Lucie Delasrocas decided to devote herself entirely to her art. Passionate about her art, she continues to create in her adopted Drôme region: illustration, 3D, gouache, screen printing… all techniques with which she enjoys experimenting. In her illustrations, with their minimalist graphic style, she uses geometric shapes and bright colours to create infinite possibilities. Her inspiration? She finds it in current events and in what she sees in everyday life: landscapes, everyday scenes, women…
Lucile Piketty

Lucile Piketty

Lucile Piketty is a printmaker and illustrator who lives and works in Paris, having graduated from the École Estienne and the Arts Décoratifs de Paris after a spell at Parsons (New York). Winner of the 2016 Lacourière engraving prize, she has illustrated several books (Éditions De La Martinière, Seuil, Thierry Magnier) and works regularly with the press and museums (Musée du Louvre, Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle). Her pastel illustrations for Editions Artazart take you on a dreamlike journey through gardens.

Maguelone du Fou

Maguelone is an illustrator and graduate of the École Estienne ESAIG in Paris. After spending time at the Atelier de Sèvres, she now lives and works in Provence in the Luberon region. She creates illustrations using ink, gouache, pencil and pastels. Her colours are vivid, not always realistic, but always with a fine attention to detail.

Maliv

Marion Livran, aka Maliv, is a self-taught illustrator and painter. She became passionate about linocut in 2018, then trained in direct-cut engraving. Very sensitive to the body, to what it gives to see, to touch, to feel, to its movements, its density, its composition, she tries to capture the fragility of this envelope and the trace that our lives leave in it, on the surface and in depth. Today, Marion juggles her creations with the painting and engraving workshops she runs for a wide range of people, including beginners, in her Établi studio in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.

Manon Diemer

Manon Diemer

Also known by the pseudonym Bamboulino, Manon Diemer is an artist and illustrator based in La Rochelle. A graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Lyon in graphic design, then of the Gobelins in Paris in motion design, she worked for four years in an agency before devoting herself entirely to illustration. Her drawing practice is rich in a multitude of tools and techniques, seeking to best adapt the subject to the medium. With a particular sense of framing derived from her photographic practice, she captures singular and representative elements of nature or architecture, inspired by the natural sciences, travel and ecological issues. She then articulates traces of reality in an imaginary world that is full of mystery and fantasy.
Margaux Dinam

Margaux Dinam

Margaux Dinam holds a DMA in illustration from École Estienne (Paris) and a master’s degree in Narration Spéculative from ERG (Brussels). She is an illustrator who is developing a practice combining comic strips, drawing and writing in her studio in the Paris suburbs. Her visual universe oscillates between abstraction and figuration, with particular attention paid to line and colour. Convinced of the political importance of the stories we tell, she is determined to create rich, sensitive fictions. Margaux draws her inspiration from the novels she reads, the films she likes to watch again and again, and the scientific imagery she collects.

Mariana David

A graduate of the Ecole Pivaut in illustration and 2D animation, Mariana David is a children’s illustrator who lives and works in Dijon. While she loves to play with traditional techniques (watercolour, gouache, linocut, etc.), she also enjoys digital creation. Her gentle, poetic world is inspired by nature and the world’s cultural riches, always with a fantastical twist where dragons burst into flames, cats dance and young women ride birds.

Marie Nortier

Marie Nortier lives and works in Besançon. Her training as an architect informs her current artistic practice and enriches her representation of space and atmosphere. She uses painting and drawing to represent places that are uninhabited, but which retain traces, memories and sensitive testimonies.
