12 stages, 12 illustrators to conquer the roads of France
To the illustrious unknown.e who wrote “France is the heart of the world” in the “quotation” section of evene.figaro.fr: we believe you. A bit of a monomaniac when it comes to traveling, Kiblind & Artazart are back on the road again in their beloved hexagon for the third year running.
.An illustrated road trip that began in 2019, Détours de France has since taken 32 international illustrators on a thought-provoking journey through the muddy, concrete roads of a France that’s no slouch when it comes to showing off its shine. This year, 12 new backpackers took part in the summer adventure.
Armed with their brand-new pairs of eyes, they had the perilous mission of drawing 12 must-see places from afar, in their own way. France in all its plurality and beauty: sophisticated, bewitching, natural, surprising. Thefruit of this journey takes the form of a collection of 12 posters, printed in risography at Kiblind Atelier in Lyon, and exhibited all summer at Artazart. The vernissage will take place on Thursday, July 1 from 6:30pm, in the presence of some of the artists. All posters will be available for sale exclusively at Artazart this summer, and on kiblind-store.com from July 5.
The freshly printed new Kiblind magazines, “A quoi tu joues?” will also be snapped up at Artazart on opening night, between a beer or two.
