A desire to shake up the codes of the traditional guidebook, to promote independent shops and local restaurants, and to create texts that are like little odes to all those affectionate, gourmet, confidential or kid-friendly addresses.

Driven by words, beauty and goodness, she likes to put feeling into encounters. She has the ability to stop at the imperceptible moments that make up a journey: the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sound of vinyl crackling in a hotel lobby, the crisp paper in a dusty, ageless library…

Léa Maupetit is a French illustrator who lives and works in Paris. After graduating in typography in 2015 from ECV Paris, Léa developed an illustration style, based on working with bright colors, lively compositions and humor.

She has worked for a wide range of clients, including textiles (Des Petits Hauts, Smallable), visual identity and packaging (Chocolaterie Alain Ducasse, East Village Market), the press (The New York Times, Milk Magazine, L’instant parisien), publishing houses (Macmillan, Milan) and many more…
