Born in 1948 in Buenos Aires, Gérard Lo Monaco is a poster artist, graphic designer, illustrator, publisher (founder of Hélium), set designer, puppeteer… above all, he’s a paper magician who has the gift of delighting us with his extraordinary pop-up books.
In 2017, he received the 59th Grammy Award for Best Art Director for the design of the “Edith Piaf” box set for Warner Music France.

With his latest release, “Voyage en train” published by Albin Michel Jeunesse, Gérard Lo Monaco now invites us, through four large scenes, to discover six trains in compositions forming a brief evocation of the origins of the railway from 1829 to contemporary high-speed trains.
