Throughout the year, flowers follow one another in the garden, announcing renewal, the warmth of summer, the end of the summer season or adding a touch of color in winter. Each flower is unique in shape, fragrance, color, leaves and stem. Different cultures have used them to symbolize an emotion, a legend or a country. Thanks to Léa Maupetit’s beautiful illustrations, rediscover 37 of the garden’s star flowers: lilac, lily of the valley, tulip, poppy, snapdragon, fuschia, dahlia, crocus, gardenia, mimosa, pansy, narcissus… Let yourself be carried away and surprised by Emmanuelle Kecir-Lepetit’s sparkling texts, as she recounts a thousand anecdotes about these flowers.
A book to share with the whole family, for those with a passion for nature and beauty.

Using gouache and acrylic, she creates a colorful, joyful and humorous universe where dogs, doves and elephants with glasses smile at life. Café terraces and markets resound with the echoes of precious moments, and the sun shines on nature and its fruits…

Léa exhibited at Artazart, “un printemps coloré” in 2018.
