Originally from south-eastern France, Agathe Briot is an illustrator and art director who now lives in Rome, her favourite city. After studying graphic arts in Marseille, she moved to Paris where she worked as an art director in a creative studio specialising in luxury goods for 10 years. Her graphic style is influenced by the colours, landscapes and sunshine of the Mediterranean. Characterised by a colourful palette and clean lines, her illustrations are inspired by scenes from everyday life, combining maritime pines, references to antiquity, cafés, vintage signs, glasses of wine and stolen kisses.
Since its creation in July 2000, Artazart has celebrated and championed illustration in all its forms, from children’s books to graphic design and illustrated novels.
Today, we are going even further: we publish the artists who inspire us on a daily basis. More than 100 illustrators have created original works for Artazart, numbered and limited to 200 copies. These rare but accessible creations allow everyone to bring art into their daily lives.
