In 2019, the illustration world saluted Agnès Hostache with Nagasaki, a graphic novel published by Lézard noir, winner of the 2020 ADAGP revelation prize and selected at Angoulême.
With her new book E.1027, Agnès Hostache once again questions our relationship with habitat. This time, she takes us to Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, to the emblematic villa E.1027. Built by architect Eileen Gray and her then-lover Jean Badovici, the villa is named after a secret code uniting their two names.
To mark the release of her new book of E.1027, Agnès Hostache is exhibiting previously unseen prints of E.1027 at Artazart. With direct, vivid tones, the illustrator plunges us into a sensual and surprising exploration, between iconic XXe century architecture, the intimacy of characters and the Azur sun.
See you Thursday March 23 from 6pm for the exhibition opening and a meeting-signing for E.1027 with Agnès Hostache!
